Nice 1940s World War II era vintage Black Wool U.S. Navy Naval Uniform Dress Jacket with Lieutenant Commander stripes and star on each cuff in metallic thread. The jacket is double breasted with 8 bright gold eagle buttons. There is an original label sewn inside which reads "J.B. Simpson Inc. TAILORS". During World War II, Simpson Clothing Company manufactured uniforms for the Navy and Coast Guard. In addition, there is an old Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America Union Made label sewn into interior pocket. The jacket is partially lined in a black nylon taffeta material. A great naval suit for the military collector or a great costume piece!
