Rare Vintage U.S. Army Double breasted and belted Long Taupe Shade 179 Men's Trench coat style Lightweight Raincoat. A great vintage piece of American Militaria. The coat retains its original tags from Bonham Mfg. Co., Inc. for the U.S. Military. The coat features six large taupe plastic buttons on front with one under each collar. There are also smaller matching buttons on each of the shoulder straps and two on each of the adjustable cuff straps. In addition, the coat features nice wide notched lapels, a belted waist with original belt with leather-look taupe plastic buckle, and a large single center vent on back for ease of movement. The back vent also has a button to keep out severe weather. There are two large exterior pockets as well as two huge interior pockets. The coat also has metal grommet vents under the armpits for air circulation. The coat has a original labels with care instructions. It is in great shape for its age. We know that the former owner served during Vietnam and shortly thereafter. Really a nice piece of Vintage American Militaria.
