A great gift for the Vintage Gentleman! Nice Large 1960s Mad Men Era Vintage Mens Gold Tone Metal Cufflinks Set by ANSON. A nice set of 2 gold tone metal rectangular cufflinks with filigree work and rectangular flat area in center for engraving initials. The cufflinks have never been engraved! The cufflinks are marked "Anson" in cursive script on the posts and have a capital cursive "A" on the backs.
Anson founded as the Anderson Tool & Die Company in 1938 by Olof Anderson who was a Swedish immigrant to America making items for jewelery manufacturers. During WWII the machinery was adapted to milling machines and entered into war production work. In 1945 Anderson formed Anson Incorporated and began men's jewelery production. In the early 1960s "Anson" began using the script letters for their logo which are used on these cufflinks.
These attractive high quality vintage mens cufflinks by Anson measure a large 1" wide by 5/8" tall and are in very good condition with some minor age wear.
