A great gift for the Swank Gentleman in your life! Awesome Mid-Century Modern Mad Men Era Cufflinks and Tie Tack set made by SWANK circa 1960s featuring Gold Tone crossed Bowling Pins. An awesome vintage set which appears unused and is in its original blue velvet presentation box from Swank! The cufflinks have bullet back closures; a torpedo, or bullet shaped, capsule that is suspended between two posts. The bullet can be flipped on its axis to manipulate it through the button holes in the cuff, and then flipped to secure the cufflink on the shirt. The tie pin has a gold tone clutch backing to secure it to the tie as well as small gold chain with a "T" shaped piece goes through your shirt buttonhole, attaching the tie to your shirt. The pieces are marked "SWANK".

Formed in 1936, Swank Products, Inc. made gun parts during WWII as well as award items like purple hearts and bronze stars. After the war Swank expanded into other areas, including fragrances, wallets, belts and other accessories for men. In the 1950s and 60s, Swank, Inc. began acquiring other brands in order to continue expanding and today a number of recognizable brand names are owned by Swank, Inc., they include Guess?, Liz Claiborne, Geoffrey Beene, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole, Nautica and Chaps.

This great early men's accessory set by Swank is in great condition. The Cufflinks measure 5/8" tall and wide and have a frosted appearance with etched diamond shape on the necks.
