A great gift for the Vintage Gentleman! Nice Pair of Mid Century Modern Mad Men Era 1960s SWANK Gold Tone Metal Cufflinks with square black "stone" inserts. A super fun Mid Century Modernist Pair of vintage men's cufflinks by SWANK. The cufflinks measure a large 7/8" in length! The cufflinks have bullet back closures; a torpedo, or bullet shaped, capsule that is suspended between two posts. The bullet can be flipped on its axis to manipulate it through the button holes in the cuff, and then flipped to secure the cufflink on the shirt. Both cufflinks are marked "SWANK" on reverse.

Formed in 1936, Swank Products, Inc. made gun parts during WWII as well as award items like purple hearts and bronze stars. After the war Swank expanded into other areas, including fragrances, wallets, belts and other accessories for men. In the 1950s and 60s, Swank, Inc. began acquiring other brands in order to continue expanding and today a number of recognizable brand names are owned by Swank, Inc., they include Guess?, Liz Claiborne, Geoffrey Beene, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole, Nautica and Chaps.
